Helen Bowden

Helen M. Bowden, age 92, a resident of San Antonio, Texas and a former resident since 1961 of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 in San Antonio. She was born January 16, 1922 in Ganado, Texas to August Pratka and Louise Sekera Pratka. Mrs. Bowden was an American Greetings Card stocker until her retirement. She was a member of St. Gertrudes Catholic Church, Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Bowden son, Carl Bowden and daughter, Linda Dickens.
Mrs. Bowden is survived by three sons, David Bowden and wife Colby of San Antonio, Gary Bowden and wife Vivian of Ormond Beach, Florida and Mark Bowden and wife Sharon of Brier, Washington two daughters, Carol Turner of San Antonio and Diane Martinez and husband Richard of San Antonio 15 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at St. Gertrudes Catholic Church, 1120 South 8th Street, Kingsville, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Peter Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
