Hector Perez Hernandez, 53, of Bishop, Texas, passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 30, 2013. He was born in Kingsville, Texas on May 25, 1960 to Eliseo P. Hernandez and Porfiria P. Hernandez.

Hector grew up in Bishop, Texas. He graduated from Bishop High School in 1979. He went on to further his education at the University of Texas and F.I. T. in NYC. With a bachelors degree in Clothing and Textiles, he gained great success designing for Macys and JC Penneys private labels. He also designed for Robert Comstock and Liz Claiborne as well as Fila, Harolds and Nike. His career allowed him to travel all around the world and meet many celebrities.
In 1986, he left that world behind and became a Christian. He then devoted his life to his church and doing various voluntary and humanitarian work.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Porfiria Hernandez and grandmother, Juanita Perez.
Hector is survived by his father, Eliseo Hernandez of Bishop four brothers, Eli Hernandez of Phoenix, Arizona, Joe Hernandez Mary of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rene P. Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas lifelong best friend, Jesus Garza of San Antonio, Texas three nieces, Natalie, Amanda and Sarah Hernandez one nephew, Joe Anthony Hernandez numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
