Send With Love

With deepest sorrow we announce that my beloved son, brother, uncle, family member and friend Gustavo “Gus” Baker 40 passed away on December 26, 2020 in Austin Texas.
Those who knew Gus lost a shining light in their lives. He was a free spirit who lived in the present and on his terms. He would enter a room and brighten it with his smile. He made friends so easily and was true to each and every one of them, never meeting a stranger. His love for music was always in his heart. Whether he was with his guitar or on the drums, he shined on stage. He was like an encyclopedia, knowledgeable on all kinds of music. Gus moved to Austin, his home away from home, right out of high school to pursue his music career. He loved to perform with his band member friends and enjoyed his travels with the band as they toured through the US.
Gus, your laughter and smile will forever be engraved in my heart. If only tears could bring you home. Rest in Peace my love.
Gus is preceded in death by his big brother Noe; father, Clem Baker and grandparents.
Gus will be missed by his mother Ida Ramirez, sister Victoria “Vikki” Baker, brother and sister-in-law Clem and Ashley Baker, nephew Cade, and nieces Emery and Camryn. He will always be cherished by his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A private service will be livestreamed at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
