Guadalupe Trevino Adame went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the age of 95. Guadalupe was born on October 26, 1921 in Falfurrias, Texas. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 66 years, Alvaro Amaya Adame, her daughter, Amparo Dalila Saucedo, her parents, Bruno and Nicasia Trevino, her siblings, John Trevino, Raul Trevino, Fred Trevino, Emma Cruz and Esperanza Longoria. Guadalupe lived a long joyous life. She was a woman who loved God with all her heart and loved, served and instructed her family with excellence. She modeled the Proverbs 31 woman in every way. She was a true example of a believer and follower of Christ, an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother known as "Mamo" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. She fulfilled her dream of being a homemaker and being there for "her girls." She was a long-time member of the former First Assembly of God Church in Kingsville under the pastorship of Rev. James and Delores Fields and now King's Way Family Church under the pastorship of Rev. Edwin and Donna Cann. It was there that she developed a passion for evangelism and intercession.
She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Susana "Susie" (Humberto) Ortegon of Kingsville, Dalia (Le Roy) De Segura of Pasadena, Texas, Irma (Baldemar) Perez of Angleton, Texas and Alva (Roy) Lozano of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Anita Lopez of Corpus Christi, Consuelo Cabrera and Aida Trevino, both of Falfurrias; one brother, Roberto (Hermidia) Trevino of Kingsville; 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel and visitation from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at King's Way Family Church, 1727 Senator Carlos Truan Blvd., Kingsville, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at King's Way Family Church with Rev. Edwin Cann and Rev. James Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
