Gordon Emerson

Gordon Jack Emerson, age 78 passed away on February 5, 2017, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born June 20, 1938 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to Sadie Robinson. He is a retired Navy Veteran, who served in the Vietnam Conflict. While in the Navy he moved to Kingsville where he made his home and was employed with Boeing Corporation at NAS Kingsville and later retired, he was also a member with the VFW, American Legion and Elks Lodge. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him and his memories will be cherished by all.
He was preceded in death by his mother; His wife Diamantina; and his son James Emerson.
He is survived by his daughters; Brenda E. Perry and Angela E. Muse; three granddaughters Jennifer J. Lynn, Amber D. Muse, and Brittany N. Melton; one grandson Jake Melton and two great-grandchildren Austin A. Taylor and Hannah L. Taylor.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with the Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery, Kleberg County Honor Detail will provide Military Honors.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
