Gary Mcfatridge

Gary Dale McFatridge passed away peacefully on July 27th 2017 after a year long, courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born on November 20, 1944 in Goose Creek, Texas, to Ervin and Grace McFatridge.
Gary graduated from Lee High School in Baytown, Texas in 1963. He married the love of his life on December 17, 1977 while they were both on active duty. Gary spent 20 years in the military as a jet mechanic where he retired in 1992. After his retirement he worked as a mechanic for various contractors at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi/ Naval Air Station Kingsville. Gary had a love for cars. He loved going to races and had a need for speed. He was an avid car collector.
Survivors include his wife Pat of 39 years, his sons Brian (Tonya) McFatridge of Dayton, Tx, Thomas McFatridge of Bishop, TX, his daughter Angie (Ray) Pena, of Driscoll , Tx, his brothers Thomas (Cookie) McFatridge of Richmond, Tx, Michael (Sharon) McFatridge of La Porte, Tx, seven grandchildren, Chad, Ryan, Ray JR, Andrew, Ashley, Brandon, Cameron, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bishop, TX. Lunch will be served at the FBC fellowship hall. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, TX. In lieu of flowers please donate to the First Baptist Church in Bishop, TX.
