Garold is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna, their children, Aaron Lawson Brooks, Katie Rose (Andrew) Stuvel and Amanda Jean Brooks. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Brooks, his sisters, RoseMary (Ed) Sheldon, Janice (Mike) Robinson, Claudia Wood and Joni (Ramon) Flores, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Garold was a graduate of H.M. King High School and Texas A&I University, Kingsville. After his graduation from college, he was employed by NASA in Houston, Texas. Garold relocated to Littleton, Colorado where he was employed as an Aerospace Engineer with Martin-Marietta which became Lockheed Martin. He retired in July of 2011. Garold was an active member of Foothills Bible Church in Littleton where he was very involved in mission work. Even though he didn't have grandchildren of his own, Garold was loved deeply by all of his great-nieces and nephews as well as the young children in his cul-de-sac who thought of him as a grandfather. He was also a lover of animals and was known to spoil his "grandpets" with lots of treats and affection. Garold was an avid sports enthusiast, with a special love for his Denver Broncos. Garold is deeply missed by all of his family and friends. At the end of all of his phone calls to any of us, Garold always said, and now we say to him, "Love ya, bye!"
