Fred L. Mohr, age 72, passed away on January 27th, 2018. Born in Spencer, Iowa on May 1st, 1945 where he grew up on a farm and farmed the land. In 1968, Fred married Donna Odendahl and started his family. In 1980, he moved his family to Kingsville, Texas started in construction and never stopped building. He was a devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, gardening and unlike many, working.
Fred was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1973. His service to Jehovah was the most important thing in his life. He always had a sincere desire to help people. One way that he did this was by sharing Bible truths in the ministry. There are many hearts that he touched and many hearts that touched him. He will truly be missed and we will treasure fond memories of him.
Fred was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hans and Lucille Mohr; three brothers, Sterling, Dale and Robert Mohr; two sisters, Thorlene Hurley and Yvonne (Babe) Christensen and grandson, Dylan M. Widiker.
He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Mohr, sons, Daniel and Peter (Jennifer) Mohr, daughters, Jane M. Widiker and Brenda (Russell) Nix; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Tuesday, January 30th from 5-7pm.
A service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 31st at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kingsville, Texas.
