Francisco Garza Sr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 12, 2024, in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on September 30, 1950, in Fort Collins, Colorado, and spent his life surrounded by family and friends who cherished him deeply. He embodied warmth and love, a beacon of light to all who were fortunate to know him.
Francisco, known for his warmth and generosity, was a dedicated husband to Maria Olga Garza for 25 years. He took immense pride in his role as a father to his four children: Daniel (Patty) Garza, Anna Liz Garza, Rhonda (Juan) Ramirez, and Frankie Garza, who was undoubtedly the apple of his eye. His love for family extended to his siblings, which included Juan Jose, Luis Diamantina, Raul Mario, and Maria DeJesus, as well as his brother Servando "Pee Wee" Gabriel. His love and pride also extended to his beloved dog, Bruno. Together, they shared a bond that was strengthened through the years, filled with memories of laughter and support.
Francisco had a passion for cooking and baking, often creating delicious meals for his loved ones. His culinary talents brought joy to many family gatherings, where his creations were always a highlight. He will be remembered fondly not only for his skills in the kitchen but also for the love and care he poured into every dish he prepared.
A visitation will take place on December 18, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, located at 205 General Cavazos Blvd in Kingsville, Texas. This will be followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. The Mass in memory of Francisco will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 1430 Brookshire St in Kingsville, Texas, on December 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Francisco will then be laid to rest at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery at 11:15 AM.
As we remember Francisco Garza Sr. today, may we celebrate his life, his spirit, and the love he instilled in each of us. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us and reminding us of the beauty of familial bonds and cherished moments.
