Francisco Juarez Galindo

Francisco Juarez Galindo, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 74.  He was a warm and loving man who was adored by his friends and family. Francisco's life was marked by service, both to his country and to those around him.

Born on October 10, 1949, Francisco grew up in a tight-knit community in Kingsville, Texas, where he was a former member of St. Joseph prayer worship team.  Francisco proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; his bravery and dedication to his fellow soldiers never wavered.

After completing his military service, Francisco pursued a career in school maintenance. He applied the same level of discipline and commitment to his civilian work as he did during his time in the army. For many years, Francisco dedicated himself to ensuring that the learning environment for students was safe and conducive to their growth and development. It was only upon reaching retirement that he finally hung up his tools.

Francisco had a passion for classic cars that went beyond mere appreciation. He collected these icons of automotive history with meticulous care, each one representing a unique story and memory. However, Francisco's love for classic cars extended far beyond collecting them; he also enjoyed racing them with great enthusiasm. The thrill and exhilaration were experiences that brought him immense joy. Additionally, music played a significant role in Francisco's life. He had a talent for playing the guitar and strumming beautiful melodies that resonated with those around him. It was through music that he found solace and expressed emotions words couldn't capture.

While Francisco possessed an undeniable mechanical knack for cars and instruments, it is his family who knew him best as a reliable foundation of support and unconditional love. For over five decades, Francisco shared his life with his beloved wife Mary Jane Galindo. Together, they built a strong and enduring partnership, weathering life's storms with unwavering dedication.

Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Josefina Juarez; and brother, Noe Galindo.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Jane Galindo; precious daughters, Melissa Ann Galindo, Norma Linda (Billy) Bowdle, and Monica Marie (Abraham Garcia) Galindo; siblings Jessie "Chuy" (Margie) Galindo, Cynthia Ann (Raul) Carbajal of Laredo, Texas, and Juan Manuel Galindo; grandchildren, Julian Roel Bautista, Kylee Sky Bautista, Trey Bowdle, and Elijah Enzo Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 pm to 9:00 on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  A chapel service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.  A rite of committal and interment with military honors will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

Francisco Juarez Galindo was a man of integrity, honor, and unwavering love. His impact on those who knew him will be felt for generations to come. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the vibrant and exceptional life that he lived. Francisco's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace.
