Francisca Suarez

Francisca Ruiz Suarez, age 82, of Riviera, Texas earned her wings on August 13, 2019. She was born on November 5, 1936 in Riviera, Texas to Francisco Ruiz and Tomasita Z. Ruiz.

Francisca’s number one passion of course was to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to her Christian stations on her radio, that stayed on her bed. She loved attending church and praising the Lord. She enjoyed going to the adult center and spending time with her friends and playing bingo. She loved getting her hair done every Saturday. Wearing her favorite perfume and her freshly done hair, she was ready for Sunday services which always followed with going to Golden Corral to eat her favorite meal- fish. She also loved her glittered sparkling shoes, maybe because it reminded her of the streets of gold she would someday walk on.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Sylvester Suarez Sr. of 50 years; her son Jesus S. Suarez Sr.; one brother, Polo Flores; two sisters, Maria Cortez, and Teadosa Mauricio; and one great-granddaughter, Jasmine Chacon.

Francisca is survived by her four daughters, Diana Barco (Emilio Sr.) from Lehigh Acres, FL, Mary Jane De Luna (Fidencio) from Ricardo, TX, Leonicia Cadena (Rudy) and Cynthia Suarez both from Riviera, TX; three sons, George Suarez (Linda) from Hollis, OK, Pablo Suarez (Belinda) and Sylvester Suarez Jr. (Sarah) both from Riviera, TX; daughter-in-law, Leticia Suarez; three sisters, Dominga Garcia, Consuelo Garcia both from Goliad, TX and Juanita Garcia from Refugio, TX; one brother Guadalupe Ruiz from San Antonio, TX; 20 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019 with a service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Praise Victory Church in Kingsville. Interment will follow at Riviera Cemetery.
