Florene Myers

Florene Trant Myers, age 91, a resident of Ricardo, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Kingsville. She was born May 26, 1924 in Bryan, Texas to Horace and Myrtle Trant. The family moved to Kleberg County when Florene was two months old and her mother died when she was six months old. Mrs. Myers was a long time office manager at the Kingsville Insurance Agency and a volunteer at the Kleberg County Sheriff's Department for a few years. She was a faithful member of the Ricardo Baptist Church.
Florene was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Ethel Trant; brother, Ernest Lee Trant; and sister, Minnie Pearl Ayers Weeks.
She is survived by her daughter, Karla Siebert and husband Glenn; son, Ron Myers and wife Patsy; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Ricardo Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Joyner officiating. Burial will be private.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
