Fay Ann Robins of Kingsville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born May 24, 1928, in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology. She met the love of her life, Jerry Robins when he returned from World War II. They married in 1946, which began their journey through life together. During 64 years of marriage they lived in Arkansas, Georgia, and Texas; and arrived in Kingsville in 1973 when Jerry became president of Texas A&I University.
Fay was a woman of faith, which got her through raising her boys and being a university faculty’s wife. She loved to entertain and was a gracious hostess; and loved gardening and tend to the rose garden at the University President’s house. Fay never lost her love of learning; always reading and keeping up with current events. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and several civic organizations around Kingsville. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her; a true southern belle.
She’s preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Robins; and son, Gerald Robins.
Left to cherish his memory ais her son, Jim Robins; and her loving friends.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Chamberlain Cemetery. A gathering will follow at the worship center of First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the FUMC or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the hospice nurses of Nurses on Wheels and the companion from Home Instead for the wonderful care and compassion they gave Fay.
