Evelyn Williams

Evelyn Louise Williams, age 86, a resident of Riviera, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December, 9, 2015 in Riviera, Texas. She was born on January 17, 1929 in Seadrift, Texas to Gilbert and Naomi Dierlam. Mrs. Williams held a plethora of occupations including loving Wife, Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, chicken rancher, cashier, caregiver, and most recently, pianist at Community Baptist Church. She was a member of Retama Park Baptist Church. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Ray Williams, son Gary Williams, parents Gilbert and Naomi Dierlam, Sister Mary Dierlam, brothers Leonard and Walter Dierlam, and son-in-law Justin Chessher. Mrs. Williams is survived by her brother Freeman Dierlam of Seadrift, Texas; her only daughter Debra Cartwright of Wharton, Texas; her grandson Joshua Chessher of LaCoste, Texas; her granddaughter Rebekah Gibbs of Hondo, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at Retama Park Baptist Church on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 10am at Retama Park Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Clements and Rev. Lupe Aguilar officiating. Burial will take place at the Riviera Cemetery following the funeral service. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
