Eugene Griffith

Eugene David Griffith, 70, of Riviera, Texas went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. He was surrounded by his beloved family.
"Gene" Griffith was born on August 24, 1945 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to JW and Agnes Griffith. Gene graduated from Palacios High School in 1964. On July 8, 1966, Gene married the love of his life, Peggy Bryant Griffith. He spent his life working as an I&E Designer for several different companies at the refinery plant in Bishop, Texas. He was currently employed with Mustang Engineering in Bishop. Gene spent most of his days off fishing or hunting and enjoying his grandchildren.
Gene is proceed in death by his parents, JW and Agnes Griffith. He is survived by his sister Kathy (Richard) Tausch of San Antonio, a beloved wife of 50 years, Peggy Bryant Griffith and three loving sons: Terrell (Karen) Griffith of Kingsville, Dale (Candace) Griffith of McCoy, and Douglas (Christy) Griffith of Riviera. He is the loving grandfather of seven grandchildren.
A family and friend gathering will be held, at 9:30am till 11:00 am, to share memories of Gene; Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family request that a donation to your favorite charity be made or a tree to be planted in his name.
