Estella G. Flores, 81, passed away on January 19, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born October 23, 1939 in Kingsville, Texas to Josefa Rangel and Guadalupe Garcia. Estella was raised on the King Ranch, after marrying the love of her life (Martin) she became a military wife which allowed her to live and travel to many states...She worked as an Accountant at the Kingsville Naval Air Station MWR Department, after retiring from there she worked as a Child Care Giver for KISD (Baby Brahma Land) until she retired. She loved life to the fullest, she loved and cherished her family dearly! She was the type of mother, grandmother, great-grandmother that dedicated herself to making sure her family was taken care of and loved! The compassion she had for people was endless. Her home was always open to anyone in need. She loved to cook, loved to teach others about family recipes and traditions. She loved traveling, loved to BBQ, loved the outdoors, she loved attending her grandkids sport events and enjoyed spending time with the family on all holidays. She raised a strong family that will be honored to keep her love, her passion, and memories alive!
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin Flores, Jr.; sister, Juanita Garcia; son, Juan G. Flores, Sr. “Flaco”; and son-in-law, Jose “GoGo” Fernandez.
Estella is survived by her children, Bonnie Fernandez, Martin Flores III (Rosemary Garcia), Ricardo Flores (Analisa), Jessica Flores (Jon Bishop); brothers, Jose Rene Garcia (Nora), Guadalupe Garcia Jr. (Chriselda); sisters, Esperanza Rodriguez, Esther Mendietta, Englantina Martinez; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be private.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
