Esmeregilda Silva

Esmeregilda Silva was called home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the age of 87. She was a devout catholic and woman of strong faith. Esmeregilda was a member of the Alter Society of St. Martin Church and a member of the Cursillistas of St. Joseph Church. Esmeregilda enjoyed spending time with her family; she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mateo Moises Silva, Sr.; sisters, Alberta Mendieta, Maria Magdalena Chavez, and Romana Garcia; brothers, Abraham Garcia, Jose Garcia, Brigidio Garcia, and Felipe Garcia.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Janie (Tim) Moreno, Lupita (Alan) Wells, and Cynthia Silva; sons, Mateo Moises Silva, Jr., and Ralph (Linda) Silva; siblings, Tomasa (Roberto) Rodriguez and Juan Jose Garcia; 27 grandchildren and great-grand-children; 1 great-great-grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at St. Martins of Tours Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
