Ernie Tucker

Ernie Archie Tucker, age 76, passed away on October 14, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Ernie was born on May 16, 1942 in Hartman, Arkansas. He was raised in Bishop, Texas and graduated from Bishop High School in 1960. He then joined the United States Marine Corp (1960-1966) where he served as a Marine Embassy Guard (Ankara, Turkey 1963-64 and Lagos, Nigeria 1964-65). Ernie was a member of the NRA and MEGA (The Marine Embassy Guard Association). He loved spending time with family and friends as well as hunting, fishing, diving, and aviation.
He is preceded in death by both his parents: Harvey and Louise Kampfhenkel.
Ernie is survived by his daughter, Dr. Carrie Hruza (husband, Dr. George Hruza), and her children, Hope Williams and Rose Williams; son, Westin Tucker (wife, Megan Tucker) and their children, Stella Tucker and Theo Tucker; son, Kalvin Tucker and his son, Jaxson Tucker; sisters, Sandra Meador and Sharon Ferm; brother, Alfred Kampfhenkel; and uncle Junior Koontz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd Street in Lubbock, Texas, with a reception to follow. Burial will be held at Concordia Cemetery in Bishop, Texas at a later date.
