Ernesto "Neto" Davila Salazar, age 66, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born November 14, 1948 in Kingsville to Flavio Salazar Sr. and Maria Davila Salazar. Mr. Salazar was employed for Van Fleet Construction as a carpenter for many years. Afterwards, he was employed for Kleberg County in the Parks Department.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Escamilla; parents; four brothers, Juan G. Salazar, Arturo Salazar, Flavio Salazar Jr. and Roberto Salazar; and one sister, Dalia Falcon.
Ernesto is survived by his wife of 24 years of marriage, Esmeralda Salazar of Kingsville; four sons, Ernesto "Ernie" Salazar Jr. of Kingsville, Eric Jacob Salazar (Denise) of Richardson, Texas, Juan Manuel Luna Jr. of Marshall, Texas and Gabriel Luna (Steve Martinez) of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Teresa Lee Luna of San Angelo, Texas and Andrea Luna of Kingsville; one brother, Armando D. Salazar (Delma) of Kingsville; one sister, Maria Elena Ambriz of Kingsville; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
