Enrique Garza

On Friday, September 3, 2021, Enrique V. Garza (El Machin) 65, lost his long fight with cancer. He was born on November 24, 1955 to Gilberto and Eugenia Garza, in Raymondville, Texas.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto and Eugenia Garza, his sister, Evila Diaz and his brother Baldemar Garza.

Rick is survived by his wife of 48 years Lillian Garza, his children Enrique J. Garza, Omar J. Garza, and Erika J. Rosales (Miguel). His brothers, Israel Garza (Dottie), Gilbert Garza Jr. (Sandy), John Garza (Magda), Oscar Garza (Diana), Raul Garza, Ricardo Garza (Mary). His sisters, Ofelia Cavasos, Olga Salazar (Isauro), Gloria Cantu (Rene), Viola Gonzales (Adan), Irma Maldondado (Arnulfo), Enedelia Garcia (Rick) and his two step sisters Nena and Maria. His grandchildren Justin, Isaac, Deziree, Savannah, Ryan, Marco, Delilah, Davlynn, Michael and Melina. His great grandchildren Greyson, Justin Jr., Luca, Emery, and Sebastian (coming soon).

He will be missed by all who knew him. His love for music was something that lived in his blood and he loved to play for his family and friends. He loved cheering on his favorite team, The Houston Texans and enjoyed seeing the Dallas Cowboys lose. Rick loved his children, grand children, and his great grandchildren with all his heart. Being able to see them grow brought him peace. He also enjoyed working on his 1993 Chevy truck each and every day.

Even though Rick passed, he is finally pain free and at peace. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8th from 5:00-7:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 9th at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Chamberlin Cemetery.

All services will be held at St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Arrangements under the direction of Turcotte Funeral Home.
