Enedelia Cuevas passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 74.  She was a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt. 

Enedelia lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She possessed a nurturing spirit that knew no bounds, always offering a warm smile and comforting words to anyone in need. Her kindheartedness was evident in every interaction she had with others, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to cross her path.  Enedelia found great joy in pursuing various hobbies and interests that brought her immense happiness. She enjoyed journaling to express herself creatively and introspectively. Her journal entries served as an intimate reflection of her thoughts and feelings; each word written with profound wisdom and sincerity.

 The arts and crafts were among Enedelia's passions where she channeled her creativity into producing remarkable pieces of art that adorned the walls of her home. This expressive outlet allowed her imagination to flourish throughout the years, showcasing the depth of talent that resided within her gentle soul.  Sports also held a special place in her heart; she particularly delighted in watching WWE matches with much excitement. Sports were not the only avenue through which Enedelia displayed her unwavering passion – she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Every game day found her eagerly awaiting kick-off, fueling her living room with electric energy as she rooted for her beloved team. 

 Enedelia's love for fine cuisine was another facet of her life that brought immense delight to both her and her loved ones. She relished every visit to the Olive Garden, where she indulged in the delectable flavors of Italian cuisine that tantalized her taste buds. The dining table transformed into a scene of laughter and conversation during these family outings, forging cherished memories that will forever be etched in the minds of all who were fortunate enough to bask in her presence.

 Family was undoubtedly at the core of Enedelia's existence. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose innocent laughter brightened even the dreariest of days. She reveled in creating unforgettable moments with them, filling their lives with love and wisdom garnered through a lifetime of experiences.

Enedelia's culinary talent was widely celebrated by those lucky enough to savor it. Her Menudo held a special place in their hearts - a dish made from scratch, simmered to perfection to warm not only their bellies but also their souls. Each spoonful bore testament to Enedelia's love and dedication; an edible testament to the matriarchal strength she embodied.

 Enedelia’s memory will continue to inspire us all to approach each day with compassion, grace, and an unwavering devotion to family. May her soul find eternal peace in the embrace of our fondest memories, forever etched in our hearts.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Cuevas, Sr.; and parents, Manuel Sr. and Carolina Tejeda.

 Among those left to cherish her memory are her children, Criselda (Vicente) Gonzales of Sugarland, TX., Bonifacio (Sandra) Gonzales of San Antonio, TX., Santiago (Lisa) Gonzalez of Bishop, TX., Luisa Martinez of Bishop, TX., and Jesus (Eva) Cuevas of Kingsville, TX.; siblings, Anna (the late Oscar) Trujillo of Bishop, TX., Manuel Tejeda, Jr. of Burbank CA., and Marcos (Sara) Tejeda of Rosenberg, TX.; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

 The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Simple Truth Fellowship, Bishop, TX.  A rite of committal and interment will follow at Evangelico Cemetery, Bishop, TX.
