Emma Martinez

Emma W. Martinez, age 92, of Kingsville, Texas went to be with our Lord on Thursday January 7, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas.
Mrs. Martinez, a longtime resident of Kingsville, Texas was born in Falfurrias, Texas to Lola Williams on August 8, 1923. She worked as the Director of Credit for a local furniture company for more than 30 years. She was involved in the PTA, A Boy Scout Den Mother, and also as a team mother for Little League. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, Bingo and attending Athletic Events. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola Williams, husband, Israel G. Martinez Sr.
She is survived by her beloved family; two daughters, Emma (Leonel) Cuellar, and Nora (Mario) Cortez, and her only son, Israel (Norma) Martinez Jr; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. to 9:00pm at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. and a prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral services will be held at Turcotte- Piper Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Peña from Church of Acts of San Antonio officiating services
Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery
