Emeterio C. Silguero Jr., age 75, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 8, 1942 in Kingsville to Emeterio C. Silguero Sr. and Teresa A. Quintanilla Silguero. Mr. Silguero was a lifelong employee of the King Ranch where he worked as a horse caregiver until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Alvessa F. Silguero of Kingsville; three daughters, Belinda Alaniz (Preciliano) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Maria E. Silguero (Rogerio Covarrubias Jr.) of Kingsville and Elly Ponfick (Chris) of New Braunfels, Texas; five sons, Roger Ramon, Marco Antonio Silguero and Juan Manuel Silguero (Vanessa), all of Kingsville, Jesse F. Silguero (Vanessa) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Tres Silguero (Kelly) of New Braunfels; three sisters, Petra Escobedo ("Piano") and Maria Luisa Gerragauch, both of Kingsville, and Lucinda Silguero of Winthrop, Massachusetts; two brothers, Rodolfo Silguero (Consuelo) and Jose Silguero (Elisa), both of Kingsville; 31 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
