Elvira Alvarez

Elvira G. Alvarez, age 87, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in Kingsville. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Abelardo Gonzalez and Romana Zepeda Gonzalez. Mrs. Alvarez was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents daughter, San Juanita Alvarez and son, Ernesto Alvarez.
Mrs. Alvarez is survived by her husband of 71 years of marriage, Abelardo Alvarez of Kingsville two daughters, Janet Rodriguez Ruben and Lupita Bogue Jeffrey, both of Kingsville six sons, Ricky Alvarez, Albert Alvarez Janie, and Abelardo Alvarez Jr. Sulema, all of Kingsville, Henry Alvarez Rosie of Agua Dulce, Texas, Jessie Alvarez Melida of Corpus Christi and David Alvarez companion John Fishpaw of Santa Barbara, California 33 grandchildren 59 greatgrandchildren and two greatgreatgrandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Fr. Romeo Salinas as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
