Elva Lopez

Elva Lopez, age 82, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Kingsville. She was born October 15, 1930 in Randado, Texas to Felipe Garza and Emilia Ramirez Garza. Mrs. Lopez was a homemaker and later was employed as a teachers aide for Kingsville Independent School District until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her parents sister, Alicia Figueroa and two brothers, Felipe Garza Jr. and Arturo Garza.
She is survived by her husband, Alonzo Lopez Sr. of Kingsville one son, Alonzo Lopez Jr. Edna of Kingsville two daughters, Nelda Mills Rudy of Shady Shores, Texas and Maria Cinda Alvarado of San Marcos, Texas one sister, Adelfa Gonzales of Hebbronville, Texas nine grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Public visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at St. Martins Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas.
