Elva Alaniz

Elva Angelica Alaniz, 74, passed away on August 25, 2021 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on October 11, 1946 to Ruben C. Alaniz Sr. and Antonia Cortez Alaniz. She loved God and put all her faith in him. She loved to dance to her favorite song, Eres Lo Que Mas Quiero by Los Palominos. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben Alaniz Sr. and Antonia C. Alaniz both from Kingsville, Texas; brothers, Arnold Alaniz from Mesquite, Texas and Homer Alaniz from Grand Prarie, Texas; former husband, Jose Arturo Buentello Sr. from Kingsville, Texas; and her great grandson, Aziah Julius Gomez from Kingsville, Texas.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Annette Silva (husband Homero Silva Sr.) from Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Jose Arturo Buentello Jr. (his wife Noelia Buentello) from Kingsville, Texas; sons, Jaime Lee Buentello and Jeffery Buentello both from Kingsville, Texas.  14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother Ruben C. Alaniz IV (his wife Elva Alaniz) from Kingsville, Texas; sister, Rosario Alaniz also from Kingsville, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
