Elizabeth Claire Caughman, age 42, of Bishop, TX, passed into her Lord Saviours arms January 15, 2014.
Beth was born in Coushatta, LA on November 28, 1971 to parents Nettie Daily and James Wood. Elizabeth was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother. She had a great love for her family and a very strong faith in God. She earned her Bachelors degree in Special Education at North Eastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She served our community as a librarian at the Bishop High School. She was a member of Eastern Star. Elizabeth found the best in everyone she met and shared her joyful nature with them. She loved reading, learning, cultivating young minds and spending time with friends, family and students expressing her faith in action. Beth was a doer, she walked in faith. She was a peacemaker and an instrument of the Lord.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her mother Nettie Daily and Elizabeth is survived by her father James Wood, husband Jack daughter Kimberly, and son Jacob. She is also survived by brother, Scott Powell, her mother inlaw, Evelyn Dick husband, Ray Dick, and her brotherinlaw James Caughman Jr. and fatherinlaw, James Caughman. She also laid claim to hundreds of children in the Bishop community that passed through her library doors as her precious ones.
The family invites you to come celebrate her life with us. Elizabeth was a vibrant woman who loved color, she wouldnt have you to stand on ceremony and wear black unless the need compels you. We invite you to break out those colors especially yellowshe loved sunflowers and celebrate the woman she was.
A memorial service was held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Bishop High School Auditorium.
