Eliseo Armando Barrera IV "Eli", age 42, went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2018 in Bishop, Texas. Eliseo was born on January 29, 1976 in Galveston County to Eliseo Armando Barrera III and Maria Elena Galvan. He was proud to follow in his father's footsteps in being a truck driver both over-the-road and locally. He was a member of Kingsway Family Church and was recently baptized.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eliseo A. Barrera III, maternal grandparents, Jose and Cruz Galvan, and paternal grandfather, Eliseo A. Barrera Jr.
Eli is survived by his wife of 14 years, Christina Barrera of Bishop, Texas; mother, Mary Barrera of Kingsville, Texas; step-mother, Diana Barrera of Hebbronville, Texas; five children, Alex Barrera of Corpus Christi, Texas, Eliseo Barrera V (Angela) of San Antonio, Texas, Robert Richardson (Valerie) of Orange Grove, Texas, Ryan Richardson (Jenna) of Kingsville, Texas, and Amanda Barrera of Premont, Texas; sisters, Adriana Barrera-Simsen (John) of Dickinson, Texas , Lillian Barrera-Martinez (Mike) of Dickinson, Texas, Penny Sustaita of Texas City,Texas , Elisa Barrera of Hebbronville, Texas; brothers, Steven Barrera (Gabby) of Kingsville, Texas, Anthony Barrera (Nina) of Corpus Christi, Texas; one grandson, who was his pride and joy, Troy Richardson of Orange Grove, Texas; Paternal Grandmother Santitos Barrera of Canyon,Texas and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Kingsway Family Church on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Edwin Cann officiating. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
