Elida Garza

Elida V. Garza, age 96, went to be with Our Lord on January 5, 2017 with her beloved family at her side.
Elida was born November 2, 1920 to Ramon Vera and Irene Cantu in La Grulla, TX. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and loving her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Garza and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Aaron John Garza, Omar Garza and Thelma Garza Parker; grandchildren, Melissa Garza, Lloyd Garza, Joshua Stephen Parker, Travis Lionel Parker, Alyssa Michelle Parker; one sister, Irene Vera ( Francisco) Guerrero.
Visitation will be held on Sunday January 8th, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday January 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
