Elida G. Ybarra

Elida G. Ybarra, 80, of Kingsville, passed away on November 8, 2024. She was born on March 12, 1944 in Ricardo, to Elida and Jose Guadalupe Gonzales. Elida was a devout woman of faith and a proud member of our community, involved in many organizations such as the Columbian Lady’s and the local Senior Community Center. She was hard working and had many interests and passions, from traveling, dancing, gambling, playing bingo and loteria and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by so many. 

Elida is preceded in death by her parents Elida and Jose Guadalupe Gonzales, siblings Jesusa (Gilberto) Rivas, Francisco Gonzales and Jose Guadalupe Curie (Delia) Gonzales. 

Among those left to cherish her memory are her children, Thelma (JR) Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Edna (Oscar) Mariscal of Arlington and Larry (Tracie) Ybarra of El Paso; grandchildren, Melinda De La Paz, Ernesto (Emily) De La Paz, Roman De La Paz, Jordyn (Christiana) Rodriguez, Jaryd Rodriguez, Lorin Ybarra, Natalie Ybarra and Joshua Ybarra; 7 great grandchildren; sisters Fina (Mac) Longoria of Temple and Nelda (Johnny) Quintanilla of Corpus Christi; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. 

The family will receive condolences on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5pm to 9pm; Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Turcotte Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Tx. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Kingsville, Tx. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
