Edward "Pop" Bade, age 93, a resident of Kingsville, Texas and a former longtime resident of Driscoll, Texas passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 in Kingsville. He was born January 29, 1922 in Cuero, Texas to Edgar J. Bade and Hilda Krauze Bade. Mr. Bade was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served in the Pacific with the Headquarters Battery 414th Field Artillery Group.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybile Mrazek Bade; parents; three brothers, Oscar Bade, Malcolm Nesloney and Clem Nesloney; and two sisters, Anne Johnson and Evelyn Wright.
Edward is survived by one son, Daniel "Sonny" Bade (Carol) of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Linda Witt (Leland, Sr.) of Driscoll; eight grandchildren, Greg Bade (Cheree) of San Antonio, Texas, Dana Jimenez (Arnold) of Bishop, Texas, Lisa Daniel of Plainview, Texas, Shelly Monse (Jimmy) of Robstown, Texas, Lawrence Witt (Tracey) of Sandia, Texas, Leland Witt Jr. (Angie) of Driscoll, Laura Hall (Jason) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Leslie Witt of Kingsville; 24 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Daniel "Sonny" Bade officiating. At the conclusion of the memorial service, military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail will take place outside of the mortuary.
The family would like to thank the staff of Kleberg County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Gentiva Hospice for the kindness and attention given to Edward during his stay.
