Dorothy Weeks

Dorothy Elizabeth Weeks, 96, passed away on January 30, 2020 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on September 6, 1923 in Leesville, Texas to Isaac Franklin and May Dell Cheatham.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and May; husband, Wallace Oran Starr; husband, Simrel Weeks, Sr.; daughter, Billie Jean Starr Bohanan; grandson, Wallace Newton Bohanan; Sons-in-law, Chuck Kirk, Dudley Marschall, Alvin Bohanan; two sisters; and three brothers.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Turner, Dorothy Sue Marschall, Simrel Weeks, Jr. (Maile), Mike Weeks (Linda), Nick Weeks (Joanne), Doug Weeks (Susan), Becky Krenek; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; twenty-two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters; three brothers; several nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Visitation will begin on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 8:00 AM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel in Kingsville followed by a 9:30 AM Funeral Service. Interment will follow later that day at Lockhart Municipal Burial Park at 3:30 PM.
