Dora Ruiz Maldonado, age 86, a resident of the King Ranch, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in Kingsville. She was born April 16, 1930 in Kingsville to Reynaldo Ruiz and Dora Marroquin Ruiz. Mrs. Maldonado, a housewife, was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was known in the community for her delicious homemade tamales.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alberto Maldonado Jr.; and parents.
Mrs. Maldonado is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alberto "Beto" Maldonado Sr. of the King Ranch; three daughters, Dora (Joe) Garcia of Kingsville, Norma (Onesimo) Quintanilla of McAllen, Texas and Catalina (Pete) Yaklin of Riviera, Texas; one son, Samuel (JoAnne) Maldonado of Kingsville; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will begin after 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Romeo Salinas as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
