Dora Garcia

Dora Alicia Garcia, age 70, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She was born on April 30, 1950 to Juanita and Alfredo Leal.

In her early life she was a loving housewife who enjoyed playing cards/poker and sewing. She became a widow at a young age and raised all 6 of her children by herself including one grand-daughter and two grandsons. She was an incredibly strong and independent woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, eating her son’s BBQ and watching horror movies. She had the best sense of humor and was always laughing and cracking jokes even if she was feeling ill.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Jose M. Garcia Jr.; daughter, Melissa Garcia; and siblings, Refugia (Cuca), Pedro, Alfredo, and Lupe.

Dora is survived by her sons, Jose M. Garcia III (Jennifer), Javier Garcia, Omar Reyes (Rebekah), Jonas Garcia and Kian Garcia; daughter, Alysha Garcia; sister, Rosa Gonzalez; numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held.
