Donald Gray

Donald A. Gray, age 97, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Kingsville. He was born September 19, 1920 in Pittsfield, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Gray; and son, Donnie Gray.
Donald is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Gray of Kingsville; two step-daughters, Shelia Jentzen (Rod) and Tracy Peach (Richard); and several step-grandchildren.
He was employed at Celanese Chemical Plant for over 30 years until his retirement. Donald was a member of the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Department and a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and awarded a Bronze Star medal. Donald was a loyal member of Kingsville V.F.W. Post 2375.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Jack Willoughby officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Funeral Military Detail will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
