Diana Munoz Decal Zapata, age 67, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Kingsville. She was born in Kingsville on August 18, 1946 to Jose R. and Otilia Perez Munoz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gloria Jean Decal brothers, Jose R. Munoz, Jr., Hermilio P. Munoz, Luis Munoz and sister, Tomasita Tina Washington.
Mrs. Zapata is survived by her husband, David Zapata seven children, Carmen Falcon Rick, Ed Decal, Alex Decal, Darrel Decal, Steven Decal Lupita, Henry Decal Valerie, and John Zapata two brothers, Raul Munoz Esther and Robert Munoz Mercy one sister, Janie Buenrostro 9 grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 13, 2014 at TurcottePiper Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Kingsville, with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas 78363.
