Derrick Anzaldua

Derrick was born November 20, 1989 in Galveston, Texas along with his twin sister Savannah. He grew up in Rosenberg, Texas and attended B.F. Terry High School. In 2006 he and his family moved to Kingsville, Texas. He was a 2008 graduate of H.M. King High School. He was an avid WWE World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling fan. Derrick walked into the Gates of Paradise Heaven on Thursday, August 28, 2014.
Derrick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hermila and Matias Hinojosa Jr. uncle, Angel Barela Jr. of Rosenberg and his beloved pet dog, Chloe.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas Anzaldua and Mary Jane H. Anzaldua of Kingsville twin sister, Savannah Anzaldua and fianc Nathan Kuretsch of Pflugerville, Texas sister, Tiffany Ann Anzaldua and fianc Gavin Boyle of Kingsville maternal aunts, Graciela Esquivel, Norma DeLaRosa and fianc Modesto Morales and Rosie Moreno and husband Juan, all of Kingsville paternal aunts, Mary Cortez and husband George, Bridget Joe Gonzalez , Consuelo Torres and husband Luis and Dora Barela and her late husband, Angel, all of Rosenberg paternal uncle, Ricky Barela Sr. and wife Sandra of Rosenberg and numerous beloved cousins.
Public visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Joseph and Joel Barela, cousins, of Rosenberg, Frank Antonino, Robert Collins III, Joseph Cantu Jr. and Manuel Cortez Jr., cousin, of Rosenberg.
The family of Derrick would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to Juan DeLaRosa, family and friends for their spiritual support and generosity.
