Delia Lerma

Delia Gonzales Lerma, age 78, a resident of Midland, Texas and a former longtime resident of Sarita, Texas passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 in Midland. She was born July 18, 1939 in Sarita to Jesus Gonzales and Rafaela Villarreal Gonzales. Delia was employed for San Pedro-Kenedy Ranch and Sarita I.S.D. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Delia was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto G. Lerma Jr.; two daughters, Ernestina Lerma Garcia (Lionel - deceased) and Elizelda Lerma Martinez (Silverio); parents; one sister, Emma Lerma (Pedro, Sr. - deceased); and one brother, Jesus Gonzales (Narcisa).
She is survived by one daughter, Elisa Lerma Baker (Dennis) of Midland; two sons, Ramiro Lerma Sr. of Sarita and Rogelio Lerma (Melinda) of Ricardo, Texas; two sisters, Elma Montiel (Roberto - deceased) of Riviera, Texas and Celia Alegria (Alfredo) of Falfurrias, Texas; three brothers, Omar Gonzales ("Chata") of Sarita, Baldemar Gonzales (Belinda) of Kingsville, Texas and Johnny Joe Gonzales (Janie) of Sarita; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Edwin Rowley officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
