David “Tony” Sendejo, born on December 13, 1968, left us on October 7, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. He was also known as “Tank” to his brothers in Christ in Beeville, TX. He was a beloved individual who touched the lives of many. Tony was born in Kingsville, Texas to Fortino and Maria Sendejo.
He found joy in rock music, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and passionately supporting the Dallas Cowboys. Tony was known for his unselfish nature and his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. He was a reliable, loyal, and trustworthy son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and more, always going above and beyond for those in need.
He is survived by his mother, Maria G. Sendejo; siblings, Eduardo (Angie) Sendejo, Cynthia S. Casey, Chrysti (Chris) Budd, Jacob (Sandra) Sendejo, Rebecca Sendejo, and Criselda (Eugene) Gonzalez; along with numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. A rite of committal and interment will follow at St. James Cemetery in Bishop, TX.
Tony's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, selflessness, and unwavering support have left a lasting impact on the lives of many. In the cherished memories and stories shared by family and friends, he will be remembered with love and gratitude.
