David Perez

David Hernandez Perez, age 70, a resident of Ricardo, Texas, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born December 15, 1944 in Kingsville, Texas to Jose P. Perez and Dolores Hernandez Perez. Mr. Perez retired from Wilcox Furniture after 25 years as a warehouse manager. David enjoyed fishing, Bar-b-que cooking for parties and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Elena R. Perez; his children, Melissa (Jose) Valadez, Sandra (Teodoro) Suarez and David (Priscilla) Perez, all of Kingsville, and Mike (Linda) Perez of Sinton, Texas; sisters, Estella Gooch of Harlingen, Texas, Mary Jane Elwell of La Feria, Texas, Herminia Juarez of Kingsville, Velma (Gilbert) Perez of Alvin, Texas, Maria Elena Perez and Sylvia Castaneda, both of San Benito, Texas; brothers, Leo Perez, Jose Perez Jr. and Jesse Perez, all of Kingsville;10 grandchildren of which include 2 special granddaughters, Annie and Belinda; 10 great-grandchildren; and special family friend, Gil Garza of Kingsville.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday May 19, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas. Rosary will be recited by Carlos Garza Jr. at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
