Daniel Johnson

Daniel Lee Johnson, age 67, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 in Kingsville. He was born April 24, 1947 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Gerald Johnson and Ruby Tanner Johnson. Daniel was employed as an electronics technician for Grumman Northrop, Whidbey Island, Washington. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Fay Johnson; parents; and brother, Charles Johnson.
Daniel is survived by daughter, Wilma Carter of Kingsville; son, Roy Canada of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Charlene Burch and Geri Ann Sims, both of Van Buren, Arkansas; three brothers, Tommy Johnson of California, Terry Johnson and Wade Johnson, both of Van Buren, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Ashley Carter, Jared Carter, John Canada, James Canada, Jason Canada and Alicia Kunkel; and two great-grandchildren, Jevon Carter and Devon King.
Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jim M. Curran officiating.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
