Cornelia "Connie" Gizella DeKoch

Connie DeKoch passed away peacefully on Wednesday, august 14th, at the age of 101. Connie was born in Detroit, Michigan to Stephen and Julianna Hoffman. Connie and siblings (four sisters and two brothers) were first generation Americans.

Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband F.J. DeKoch and her beautiful grand-daughter, Whitley Lowry.

Connie was devoted to her family and her faith. She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Kingsville, Texas. She was a wonderful, caring and loving mother to her three children: Jay (Connie) DeKoch of Bryson, Texas, Allan (Ann) DeKoch of Longview, Texas, and Juli (Bill) Lowry of Kingsville, Texas.

Much loved “Nanaw” and “Grandma” to 6. Jason Little, Michal DeKoch, Christopher DeKoch, Stephen DeKoch, Wade Lowry, and Whitley Lowry.

A very proud Great Grandmother of 10. Jaxon, Halee, Caroline, Evelyn, Heidi, Miles, Radley, Whitt, Dylan, and Layne.

Connie poured her love into making a home for her family. She loved to cook, and everything she baked from cookies to cakes was exceptional.

Her beautiful smile and genuine kindness touched all who knew her. She will be greatly remembered and missed.

A public visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, August 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church. 

Pallbearers are Jason Little, Michael DeKoch, Christopher DeKoch, Stephen DeKoch, Wade Lowry, and Whitt Lowry. Honorary Pallbearers are Miles DeKoch, Radley DeKoch and Jaxon Little.
