Cora Ferrell

Cora Grebe Brady Ferrell died Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Cora was born April 3, 1926 in Bishop, Texas to Henry William Grebe and Ophelia Hedwig Dornhoefer. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Bishop, and confirmed there in 1941. She was a Bishop High School graduate.
On April 11, 1948, Cora married Alfred Drew Brady Jr. at St. John Lutheran Church, Bishop. Their union was blessed with three children Philip Wayne, Janet Gail and Curtis Preston. After the death of Al, Cora married Sid Ferrell.
Cora worked for Dr. Peace and Dr. Barnett in Bishop for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran and was active in Ruth Circle.
Cora was preceded in death by her first husband, Al and son, Curtis in 1971 her second husband, Sid her siblings, Henry Grebe Jr. and Lorene Corley and grandson, Jason Brady.
She is survived by her son, Phil Patty Brady daughter, Janet Rob Spillman four grandchildren, Emily Saul Gonzales, Curtis Madelaine Spillman, Kimberly Aaron Garrison, Julie Ann Edward Macintosh and four greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by nieces, Deanie Kunkle and Jeanette Box.
The family expresses special thanks to Belinda Garcia for her loving care of Cora.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church, 301 East Main Street, Bishop, with Rev. Vic Andersen and Rev. Marcia Kline officiating. Burial will follow in Bishop at Restland Cemetery.
