Constancia Rodriguez

Constancia V. Rodriguez passed away in Laredo, TX, on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born on February 17, 1934, to Miguel and Evangelina Velasco. She enjoyed playing bingo and loteria with her family, cooking, cleaning, dancing and watching her novelas.  Constancia was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend; and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Julio T. Rodriguez; parents, Miguel and Evangelina Velasco; and siblings, Magdaleno Velasco, Delfina Guerra, Genaro Velasco, and David Velasco.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her children, Alonzo V. Rodriguez, Aida R. Flagg (Hjalmar J. Aguilo), and Julio Rodriguez, Jr.; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a chapel service celebrated at 11:00AM.  A rite of committal and interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
