Connie Ruth Wyro Felder, 58, of Bishop, Texas, former resident of Brazoria, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 29, 2013 surrounded by her family and numerous close friends. She was born on September 14, 1955 in Kingsville, Texas to Peter Herman and Mary Louise Wyro.
She was married to Philip R. Felder on February 16, 1974 after graduating from Bishop High School and San Antonio School of Dental Assistants. She worked for 13 years in the field of dentistry and for three years as a secretary. She gave up her career to devote her time raising her two boys. Connie served as Boy Scout Den leader, PTA president, baseball coach, team mom as well as volunteering in other school functions.
She received a right lung transplant on Christmas day 2003, and was a living testimony to many in the community of Gods blessings on that Christmas day. The transplant allowed her to see her boys graduate, see her youngest get married and enjoy her 14 month old granddaughter.
She was preceded by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 40 years, Philip Felder,two sons, Matthew Ray Felder, Timothy Amanda Felder, granddaughter, Naomi Kinley Felder, all of Bishop brother, Peter L. Mary Jane Wyro, of Alice, Texas sister, Wanda Lee Johnson of Live Oak , Texas motherinlaw, Natalie Wolter of Corpus Christi, Texas two brothersinlaw, Ted Laura Felder of Angleton, Texas and Ken Debbie Felder of Schertz, Texas sisterinlaw, Paulette Tommy Pugh of Inez, Texas nieces and nephews, Martin Angela Perry, Molly Jerry Vickers, Peter L. Laura Wyro Jr., Bradley Wyro, Angela Wyro, Margaret Neal Hebert, Theresa Desha, Michael Desha, Connie Francis Desha, Leigh Freddie Garza, Kristin Ron Branyon, Kendra Chris Bartlett, Billy and Kayla Pugh and numerous greatnieces and greatnephews.
Family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, October 4, 2013 at TurcottePiper Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Bishop with Rev. Clif Abshier officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.
