Cleofas "Bo" Moya

Cleofas "Bo" Moya was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on April 1, 1967, in Kingsville, Texas, Bo was a larger-than-life personality whose strong character and unique qualities left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Bo grew up with 12 siblings and learned the true meaning of family from his loving parents. A testament to those lessons was his favorite quote, which he would often share with his grand-babies before parting ways: "Family Forever."

He was married for 41 years to Margarita “Margie” Moya and found peace with her. She provided support and reassurance as they took each step together.

In his professional life, Bo followed in his father's footsteps as a truck driver, embodying the dedication and work ethic required for the job. Accompanied by his wife for many miles, he would start his trip with the words “Hammer Down” and would love to take pictures of the travel that were instantly shared on social media.

His passion for music was an integral part of his life; he was a talented musician who was especially skilled at playing the bass guitar, bringing Conjunto melodies to life. Music was the fire that fueled his spirit and kept him beating to his own drums. Multiple awards distinguished him as a true professional in his craft.

Bo enjoyed family gatherings, and barbecues where laughter and love filled the air around the grill. He cheered for the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Houston Astros, and the Cowboys when they were decent.

His enthusiasm for sports was evident during his time as a baseball coach, where he volunteered to ensure the fields were free of holes, allowing the kids to play safely. Throughout the late 90s, he imparted many valuable life lessons to the children of the Kingsville community.

His family and friends would describe him as strict yet loving—a man whose heart was as strong as his will. Bo was an incredible person, one who never met a stranger, welcoming all into his life with open arms and a generous spirit.

Bo's family was his greatest accomplishment, reflecting a life filled with love and purpose. As they mourn his passing, they cherish the love he shared and the values he instilled in them. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and deep connections that will always resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Glafira Moya; father-in-law, Augustine Hinojosa, Jr.; brother, Samuel Moya; sisters, Sylvia Juarez and Maria Guadalupe Moya Bueno.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Margarita Moya; daughters, Lori Beth (Raul) Piña and Olivia (Cody) Blumberg; sons, Joseph David “JD” (Niki) Moya and Adam Treviño; mother-in-law, Consuelo Hinojosa; grandchildren, Madison Blumberg, Morgan Blumberg, Izabela Taylor Piña, Mia Beth Piña, Aubriana Blumberg, Mateo Roy Piña, Joseph David Moya, Jr., and Rylan Senon Moya; brothers, Carlos (Maria Elena Garcia) Moya, Albert Moya, and Joseph Moya; sisters, Yolanda (William) Crutcher, Grace (Eduardo) Garcia, Virginia (Victor) Rowley, Anna (George) Flores, Maria Caballero, and Leticia (Jeffery) Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
