Cleo Kraatz

Cleo Raab Kraatz, 93, of Fredericksburg, Texas and a former longtime resident of Riviera, Texas died Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
Mrs. Kraatz was born March 24, 1922 in Alice, Texas. She was the daughter of Herman Raab and Margaret Hirsch Raab. She was married to Alvie Kraatz Sr. who preceded her in death.
Survivors, include a son and daughter-in-law, Alvie and Cynthia Kraatz of Harper, Texas; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Emmalee Raab of Victoria, Texas. All of her grandchildren affectionately called her "Nanny".
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kraatz was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Howe; two sons, Kenneth Kraatz and Bruce Kraatz; one brother, Frank Raab; and one sister, Norma Hayes.
Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice in Fredericksburg or your charity of choice.
Her family is planning a memorial service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. After the memorial service, there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Holiday Inn Express in Kingsville on Hwy. 77.
Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home and Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.
