Charles (Chuck) Wayne Weaver (April 8, 1942 – October 2, 2020). Charles (78) of Riviera, TX passed away peacefully at his home on October 2, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Weaver was born in Ferrum, VA. He served his country as an intelligence analyst in the US Air Force. He was a graduate of both Syracuse and Western Kentucky Universities, and was a devoted father to three children, Douglas, Wayne and Jennifer. He and his wife of 23 years, Sandra, have enjoyed their retirement surrounded by wonderful neighbors in their community of Riviera.
A lifetime member of Adventure Motorcycle Riders International and member of Motoclub M-14, Chuck could be found meeting with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts from across North America as often as time would permit. When home, he enjoyed fishing, cultivating a crown of thorns garden, and assisting friends (and friends of friends) in any way possible. Additionally, Chuck was an attendee of the Kingsville St. Paul AME, a volunteer at Texas A&M Kingsville and faithfully served the Kleberg County Democratic Party as Precinct Chair and former treasurer.
He is preceded in death by his son, Douglas Weaver, his brother Steven Weaver and parents, Selva Lee and Ruth Weaver.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Sandra Weaver; his children Wayne (wife: Laurie) Weaver and Jennifer Idell; his sisters: Yvonne Lehring and Deborah Chandler; his grandchildren, Cole McGough, Anna McGough, Brandon Weaver, Justin Weaver and Madeline Idell; his nieces and nephews: Kenneth Causey, Sarah Lehring Smith, Christopher Chandler, Craig Weaver and Joe Lehring.
A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested friends consider a memorial sent in his honor to the American Cancer Society (https://donate3cancer.org) or the Harbor Foundation (www.harborfoundation.com/donate.html).
