Charles Williams Sr.

Charles Randall Williams, Sr left his earthly home on August 25, 2019 at the age of 73. He was born to Georgia Smith Williams on September 10, 1945 in Newnan, Georgia. In 1962, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he was trained as a radar mechanic. Following his honorable discharge from service, he worked as a Texas State Trooper. During this time he met and married the love of his life, Ana. They built a life together over the next 51 years and raised a son and daughter.

Randy loved being with his family. He was an excellent cook and found great joy in preparing meals for his family. He spent many weekends smoking brisket and making delicious spreads with all the sides. He loved watching black and white westerns and reading Louis L’Amour books. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a generous spirit.

Randy was a devoted husband and father. He will be dearly missed by his family and those who hold cherished memories of him. His spirit will live on in his wife, children and grandchildren.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Smith Williams, and two brothers Olan Smith and Doug Smith. He is survived by his wife, Ana Williams and their two children Charles (Lorette) R. Williams, Jr and Jennifer (Josh) Bolin, six grandchildren Clayton Williams, Emily Williams, Colton Winters, Katie Winters, Karlie Winters and Brielle Bolin, and his sister, JoAnn Lowe.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 9 to 11 am at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary [205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville] with a funeral service following at 11 am. Interment will follow at the Coastal Bend Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date.
