Casimiro Guerra, age 84, passed away January 2, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born June 21, 1933 in Hebbronville, Texas to Ernesto Guerra and Aurora Ramos Guerra. Casimiro worked in the oilfield industry as a diesel mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Guerra; grandson, Casimiro Adan Guerra; both his parents; brother, Ernesto Guerra Sr.; sister, Esther Salinas; and brother, Casimiro Guerra.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rumalda Guerra; 8 children, Frances (Jeff) Matthews, Neto Guerra, Casimiro Guerra Jr., Eberto Guerra, Patricia (Mitch) Kinney, Joe (Maggie) Guerra, Leopoldo (Angelica) Guerra, and Juanita Guerra; 4 siblings, Gilberto Guerra Sr., Francisca (Chuck) Lazusky, Imelda Diaz, and Minnie Herrera; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Martins Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
